Background

Dr Katelaris has extensive training and experience in surgical assessment and procedures that are completed with meticulous technique.

Dr Katelaris trained in Urology for 3 years at teaching hospitals in Sydney, Albury and Tweed Heads. He conducted original research at the University of Melbourne for which he was awarded a Master of Surgery in 2019. He undertook further training in local anaesthetic vasectomy perfecting the “Li Technique”. He has performed more than 1000 vasectomies to date with exemplary results and high rates of patient satisfaction.

Dr Katelaris is well qualified in the management of skin cancer, having achieved Advanced Clinical Certificates in Dermoscopy, Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. He appreciates that patients want accessible, efficient and professional care.

Dr Katelaris is an experienced General Practitioner. He is uniquely aware of the nuance of performing surgical procedures with the patient’s individual medical and social factors front of mind.
